LaQuet Sharnell Pringle
OWNER & FOUNDER
A Seasoned and celebrated Professional dancer/singer/actor with 20 years of experience working on and off Broadway. For 11 years, I’ve been a celebrated dance/musical theater educator serving on the faculty of Texas State University, the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA), and the NY Film Academy.
LaQuet trained classically at William Esper Studios with Master Meisner acting teacher William Esper and is a proud SUNY Empire State College graduate with a BA in Theater and Dance History. Humble brag: Once upon a time, I was the most decorated Black Cheerleader in the country, with 10 individual and team National Championships.
Their performing credits include Broadway/National Tour: Mrs. Doubtfire The Musical, Beautiful The Carole King Musical, Lysistrata Jones, Memphis, The Lion King, Sweet Charity, Off-Broadway: The Life, Make Mine Manhattan, Ave Q, Regional Theater: Aida (Workshop), Flashdance, Candide, The Wiz, Ain’t Misbehavin’, Princess-A New Musical, Chicago, Footloose, AIDA, Nights on Broadway III, Shrek- The Musical (NY Workshop), Jawbreaker The Musical, Caty Bridgewater A Musical, The Submission, Closer, The Dead Guy, Television/Film: IF (Paramount Pictures), Blacklist, Girls on the Bus, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, As the World Turns, Step Up 3D, Devoted, Sylvia Plath Project.
As an educator, LaQuet’s movement analyst eye is a winning ingredient for helping students understand why the body moves with grace, style, and fluidity. The Onset Technique is an educational tool that promotes ease, flow, and connectivity in low-, moderate-, and high-intensity artistic training and creation.
This methodology has been welcomed in multiple universities and conservatories, including Ballet Austin, The Performing Arts Project, Texas Christian University, and countless dance and theater schools nationwide. “I teach the ways to approach creativity that aren’t exclusively High Intensity, promote one kind of physical aesthetic, and not from a place of ableism.
In building my modality of teaching physical, vocal, character-driven performance exercises and techniques, the student connects the mind with the body from their individual experience. The more this is practiced, the quieter the mind becomes, freeing your instrument to be bolder, braver, and more fearless.
Their success on the stage cultivated and activated their admiration for writing, producing, and directing. As they transitioned from the stage to behind the table, LaQuet is proud to have written three plays ( Lifting a Burden, Driving, and Hearing The Pause) to be produced in 2025.
Additionally, their work as a director and choreographer is regarded as a contemporary visionary for theater and dance. Credits Include: Little Women The Musical, Oklahoma The Musical, Big Fish: The Musical. The Addams Family, Hair The Musical. Additionally, their choreography work can be seen in the upcoming music video, Welcome Here, which will debut at the 2024 NYC Pride. Their producer credits include The Submission, The Dead Guy, and Closer, all of which were performed through their production company, Fearless Young Artists Studios.
