ARE THERE ANY REGISTRATION FEES OR DEPOSITS?
There is a one-time registration fee of $65 per new student enrolling in our fall and winter programs. This fee does not apply for special events or single drop-in virtual classes.
A $100 non-refundable deposit for the Summer programs will be charged at enrollment, with any remaining balance due the week before class begins.
ARE THERE ANY FEES FOR DECLINED CARDS?
There will be a $5 fee for declined cards.
DO YOU OFFER PROFESSIONAL AND PRE-PROFESSIONAL DISCOUNTS?
PROFESSIONAL: any approved Professional Performing Union Member with an up-to-date union card will receive half-off classes. *Pre-Professional: bring your most recent playbill from a show, and you will receive a 30% discount.
DO YOU OFFER SIBLING DISCOUNTS?
Yes! A 5% sibling discount is applied to the second child and any additional children from the same family. Discounts cannot be combined and do not apply to special events.
When enrolling online, discounts will be reflected in an emailed receipt and not during online registration.
DO YOU OFFER ANY TRIAL CLASSES OR WAITLISTS?
A one-time complimentary virtual trial class is offered to new students at FYA Studios. Please choose the “Trial Class” option in our online booking system. If you have any trouble, please email us at fearlessadmin@fyastudios.com.
If you find a full class you’d like to take, you will be added to a waitlist. You can be emailed, texted, or called if you are moved from the waitlist to the class.
NOTE: NO Trial classes for Summer programs or Outdoor Classes.
DO YOU CHARGE FOR BEING ON THE CLASS WAITLIST?
No fees are charged if you are on the waitlist for a class. Should a spot open up to which you agree, appropriate fees will be charged at that time.
WHAT IS YOUR MAKEUP POLICY FOR CLASSES?
All students are entitled to two (2) In-person makeup classes per Winter and Fall semesters. In addition, all dancers have unlimited virtual makeup classes per session broadcast during our in-studio sessions.
Makeups must be scheduled in advance in age-appropriate, available classes. Please note any makeup class canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled class cannot be rescheduled. There are no make-ups or trials during the summer programs and no make-up classes for holidays, weather closures, or other instances in which classes do not occur.
CAN I MISS CLASS LEADING UP TO THE RECITAL?
Due to recital preparation, NO makeup classes will be permitted from Memorial Day until Recital Day.
DO YOU OFFER REFUNDS?
All sales are final.
Should you move out of town, you must present proof of your new address. Should you need to cancel your enrollment before starting a class session, you will be charged a $100 withdrawal fee.
No Refunds if you withdraw from any Summer program after June 1st. In exceptional circumstances where a class credit is issued, credit may only be used for a student within the same family for which it was initially applied.
IT’S A SNOW DAY. CAN I GET A REFUND FOR THE CLASS?
FYA Studios cannot and shall not be held responsible for extreme weather or other unforeseen events beyond FYA Studios control, including, but not limited to, natural disasters, pandemics, wars, acts of terrorism, or other force major events that, by their nature could not have been foreseen.
If it’s possible to plan for unforeseen, avoidable events, FYA Studios shall not provide a refund or credit for classes canceled. Instead, we will transition our Live/In-Studio classes to virtual or hybrid classes.
CAN I TRANSITION FROM IN-PERSON TO ONLY VIRTUAL?
YES! Should you decide to transition from In-Studio to FYA Studios virtual format, there will be no adjustments to tuition, discounts, credits, makeups, or refunds for any students beyond the stated refund policies.
HOW DO YOU CREATE YOUR HOLIDAY SCHEDULE?
FYA Studios will follow the guidance of the NYC public schools, City, State, and local governments, the Federal government, and the safety advisories from New York City (as applicable) in making class cancelation decisions.
DO YOU OFFER OUTDOOR CLASSES?
YES… But only in the summer sessions. If inclement weather occurs, there will be no refunds (see Refund Policy), but class may be rescheduled based on availability or moved to our FYA Studios Virtual classes.
In some instances, if FYA Studios determines it is appropriate and families consent, the outdoor classes may be moved to a suitable indoor space while following proper safety measures.
DOES MY ENROLLMENT ROLL OVER INTO THE FOLLOWING SEMESTERS?
In the next session, students enrolled in Winter or Fall in-person and virtual dance classes will be automatically re-enrolled into the same classes. Every family has the option to opt out of the following sessions but must do so one (1) month before the start date of the upcoming session.
FYA Studios will send two (2) email notices of the upcoming enrollment, reminding you of the rollover and providing an opportunity to opt out of the next session. Should students not opt out by the provided deadline, they will be re-enrolled, and their credit card on file will be charged for the published rate of the following session.
Should a student withdraw from the next session after the provided deadline, a $100 non-refundable deposit fee will be subtracted from their refund.
DO SUMMER PROGRAMS ROLL OVER TO THE FOLLOWING SUMMER?
NO. Summer Programs Do NOT automatically roll over to the next session. Students must re-enroll themselves in the next session.
DOES FYA STUDIOS HAVE A LOST & FOUND?
FYA Studios (including its staff and teachers) is not responsible for lost or stolen items at the studio, its facilities, or other locations used for studio functions, such as recital venues or party locations.
IS THERE A RECITAL? ARE THERE ANY FEES TO DO THE RECITAL?
All dancers enrolled in the Winter and Fall sessions can participate in our year-end recital held in the spring each year.
An additional recital fee will be charged to participate. Please note recital fees are non-refundable. Specific recital fees will be shared two (2) months before the recital.
DOES FYA STUDIOS HAVE AN ONLINE CUSTOMER PORTAL?
To enroll in our programs and classes, you must create an account on the Mindbody App. After enrolling in a class, you can register for and use this platform to find updates, class offerings, and additions to our store.

DO YOU TAKE PROMOTIONAL PHOTOS & VIDEOS WHILE IN CLASS?
FYA Studios may use photographs and videos that include our students in
promotional / advertising/website materials. If you prefer NOT to be included,

CAN WE VIDEO RECORD CLASSES?
NO. However, we allow parents to come to the end of the class and film their child.
Professional classes additionally can not record classes.
CAN YOU HELP WITH THE TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS/DATA FEES?
FYA Studios will provide reasonable guidance for participating in virtual class enrollments through email only. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure software or apps are correctly installed and functioning before class. Any applicable data fees for accessing class content are the students' sole responsibility, not FYA Studios.
