I'm a Broadway performer, choreographer, director, educator, and founder of FYA Studios. After more than two decades performing, teaching, and creating across the performing arts industry, I've discovered that sustainable artistry isn't built through force.
It's built through awareness.
The Onset Technique is the methodology I've developed through years of professional practice, helping artists, educators, athletes, and creative professionals move with greater confidence, clarity, and authenticity. At its core, The Onset Technique is built upon three principles: Ease, Flow, and Connectivity.
Whether I'm teaching in a studio, directing a production, delivering a keynote, or coaching an individual artist, these principles remain the foundation of my work.
At FYA Studios, we believe creative growth happens when boldness is supported by structure, curiosity, and care. Every class, workshop, production, keynote, and coaching experience is designed to help artists become more fully themselves.

EASE
Ease is not the absence of effort. It is the removal of unnecessary effort.
Through awareness, alignment, and intentional practice, artists learn to release tension that limits expression and discover a more sustainable way of working.
The Onset Technique is a movement and creative development methodology designed to help individuals access their fullest potential through awareness, efficiency, and connection.
Rather than pushing harder, The Onset Technique teaches artists to listen more deeply, move more intentionally, and create from a place of embodied confidence.
The work is rooted in three guiding principles:
FLOW
Flow is the ability to remain present while moving through a challenge.
By developing adaptability, rhythm, and responsiveness, artists build trust in themselves and their ability to navigate uncertainty with confidence.
CONNECTIVITY
Connectivity is the relationship between self, others, and purpose.
Whether performing, collaborating, leading, or creating, meaningful work happens when we are fully connected to our bodies, our communities, and the story we are called to tell.
